ADHD COACHING
All About ADHD Coaching
-
ADHD Coaching provides individuals with a toolkit of practical strategies, skills, and systems to understand and address challenges, as well as help identify and build on unique strengths.
Within ADHD coaching, you will address core ADHD-related issues like time management, organization, and self-esteem, as well as gain clarity and learn tools to function more effectively.
Difficulties with working memory, processing speed, impulse control, and mental flexibility can become a barrier to relational, academic & vocational success.
From calendar mapping to ease household scheduling craziness, to problem-solving relationship challenges, to helping you navigate difficult workplace dynamics,
-
You & your treatment provider will discuss the duration and frequency of appointments during your first scheduled visit.
We offer ADHD Coaching packages, as typically it is recommended that more than 5 coaching sessions are scheduled & attended in order to maximize benefits and address all challenges + symptoms that are currently creating barriers in your life!
-
While both psychotherapy & ADHD Coaching can be extremely beneficial to those suffering from ADHD, as well as their family members; the main difference is that ADHD Coaches focus on present day, action-oriented skills and strategies to improve daily functioning and executive functioning.
Psychotherapy, on the other hand, may dive deeper into the emotional difficulties that come with having a diagnosis of ADHD, as well as past experiences & co-occuring disorders in addition to ADHD.
-
While there isn’t a specific age limitation around ADHD Coaching, we typically start to see clients in early adolescent & teenage years, when individuals can start making more independent decisions regarding the management of their ADHD and apply the skills being taught to them, independently.
For younger age children, we often work with parents, caregivers, and school officials to help develop plans that will address the individuals current challenges in academic or home settings.
ADHD Coaching Sessions and Packages
Purchasing Individual Sessions vs. Packages
Although treatment plans are personally customized for each client, the typical number of sessions recommended is at least 10 ADHD Coaching sessions.
We typically recommend that you purchase packages of sessions. Packages not only save you money in the long run, they are also a way to keep you motivated & engaged in the process.
Purchasing packages in advance allows you to schedule all of your sessions in advance in order to ensure a consistent treatment schedule, which will optimize results.
Packages can be paid in advance, or sessions can be paid at the time of service.
Payments can be paid using credit card or debit card at this time.
Combining ADHD Coaching + Neurofeedback
Combining neurofeedback with ADHD Coaching offers a holistic & comprehensive approach to treating symptoms of ADHD.
Neurofeedback will help individuals train the brain to regulate it’s activity, while ADHD Coaching will assist with symptom management, as well as developing coping skills & practical strategies to manage daily challenges related to ADHD.
